Actually nudity was still very prominent in various theatres in the early 1900`s. Especially in France of course. And it was not unheard of to catch a celebrity performing. FYI Colette (the French writer) performed nude at the Moulin Rouge in a pantomime entitled ``Egyptian Dreams``.
